Exercises to reduce daily foot and back fatigue

Exercises to reduce daily foot and back fatigue
Long hours spent standing at work, sitting at a desk, or walking around town often leave you with achy feet and tight lower back pain. When your feet grow tired, your posture naturally shifts to compensate, putting extra strain on your spine. Simple daily stretches and strength moves can break that cycle.
You do not need gym equipment for these exercises. You can do most of them at your desk, on your couch, or first thing in the morning.
Toe Spreads

Sit comfortably, place your feet flat on the floor. Slowly spread all your toes wide apart, hold for 5 seconds, then relax. Repeat 10 times. This wakes up small foot muscles weakened by tight shoes.
Arch Lifts

While seated, keep your heel on the ground and gently lift the arch of your foot upward without curling your toes. Hold for 3 seconds and release. This builds strength to hold your natural foot shape, lowering pressure on your lower back.
Calf Stretches

Face a wall, one leg back with heel flat on the floor. Lean forward slowly until you feel a gentle stretch along your back calf. Hold for 20‑30 seconds on each side. Tight calves often pull on your heels and arches.
Pair these quick exercises with supportive footwear or insoles, to take pressure away from overworked foot muscles.

Muscle strengthening and stretching moves that help you stand stronger all day.

Spend just 5 minutes a day on foot care, and you will notice far less overall fatigue by the end of your busy day.
